- Can I share documents with clients?
- Yes. On Professional and Enterprise plans, you can grant clients view-only access to selected project files, keep them aligned on job status, and request electronic signatures on shared documents without giving them full account access.
- What is Project AI chat?
- On any project page, admins (and workers you allow) can open the Project AI assistant — a chatbot scoped to that job only. Ask about uploaded documents, job status, timeline, internal notes, messages, or the schedule. Replies may cite files you can jump to with one click. Conversation stays in your browser until you clear it; each reply uses one credit from your organization's monthly AI summary allowance (same pool as AI summaries and timelines).
- Does LedgerStack support document signatures?
- Yes. On Professional and Enterprise plans, admins can request a client signature on supported project files (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, and more). Clients sign with a typed name in an embedded SignWell window, receive email and in-app notifications, and the completed signed PDF is stored in the Signed documents category on the project.
- Is LedgerStack long-term file storage?
- No. LedgerStack is a workspace for active jobs — not a document archive. When every job on a project is marked Completed, the project is deleted after 7 days. Projects with open jobs and no activity for 12 months may also be removed. Export job packets or use organization backups, then keep permanent records in your own storage (Drive, SharePoint, your CMS, etc.).
